Craft Fair

So the craft fair was ok.  I didn't sell much of anything and had a generally frustrating morning with mishaps, forgetting things and two hours of rain followed by chilly weather until the afternoon when it became sweltering!  I did, however, pass out a few business cards and had many compliments on my uniform aprons!  <3  I'll put up pictures on my facebook page for guys to view and maybe a few up here too.  Just look up meashinTubbyStuff in the search on your facebook page :) 

New bag for the Craft Fair

    I'm always making things for myself.  I make new bags and things and then transfer from one bag to the other to give the new one a test drive.  I love doing that because it's free advertising for one and secondly it helps me to figure out what's working and what's not working.

     The new purse was the least frustrating purse I have made so far!  I was so happy about that.  There are only a few adjustments that I'll be making to it.  I'm going to make 4-5 for the fair with different lining fabric.  I hope that design goes over well.

     I made a bag that I thought would be great to take to the gym or your Zumba class.  I modified a pattern for a different bag for this one.  Four outer pockets for water bottles and an open space in the middle to throw your wallet and keys and mp3 player into.  It works well for that.  I tried using it as a purse and found that incredibly frustrating.  I would store things in the outer pockets and when I went to look for the item I couldn't find it easily.  I would go all around the bag and through every pocket and finally find it.  I hate it as a purse but as a gym bag it's great.

AHHH!!

So, I said that I was going to do this craft fair at the end of this month.  I haven't made anything new, I just spent a ton of money so I can accept credit cards, to buy a canopy, and other things!!  I don't know what to do!!!  I don't know what to make, or anything like that!!

I guess I'll post later about a new bag I made that was the easiest one so far!  I guess that I could make a few of those.  It was fairly easy to make.  I have lots of baby items I could make.  I guess I know what to make, I think my problem is that I just don't do it!!  Maybe I should just get down to business and get started!!

Been gone

We left for vacation for most of February so no craftiness went on!  Since I've been back though, I've started to make up a few more things that I'll be sharing as the weeks progress.  I plan on writing about key fobs, blankets, wash cloths, travel wipes cases, covered buttons, magnets and glass tiles.  Lots to think about!  I'm particularly excited about the travel wipes case, I've figured out a new way to make them!  I'm excited!  I guess I'll post a picture of the unfinished project!  I've only seen them made this way by one other person on Etsy.  By the way... meashinTubbyStuff.etsy.com is my shop on etsy!  Excited about that and hope to get my orders in so I can make more stuff...even though I have stuff here that I can make...I'm just interested in the things that are coming in the mail.  Hope you enjoy the posts to come and especially my etsy shop!!!!!

Quick, fast and in a hurry cuteness!!!

I saw these very cute tissue pouches/holders on etsy.com and thought they were extremely cute and a very good idea...so, naturally...I stole the concept.  I spent a little time figuring out how to construct these things and what size to cut out and blah blah blah and after much thought on this I set out on my endeavor...and here's what I got!

Update!!!  I made more.  I also made a travel wipes case with matching tissue pouch!!!

Not since October!!!

     I just realized how long it's been since I posted anything!  Wow....3 months...that's a good long while.  I made cards for Christmas, I guess I should have taken photos of them...too late now.  I haven't been doing very many crafts or sewing projects lately...I need motivation.

     I have sewn together a few more shopping bags.  I got a new presser foot for my sewing machine which has been awesome.  I made another blanket.  I'm going to make another one if I can decide on a coordinating fabric or I might just make it into something else.  I'm working on plans for a water bottle bag/purse because I want to use it to go to zumba/gym.

     I wish there was such a thing as the cleaning fairy.  I looked around my house today and thought that she was really letting her job slide.  Dishes strung out on all the counters, laundry still in the dryer...dry just waiting, clutter and some trash, dirty carpet and a floor in need of sweeping and mopping, recycling hanging about the floor, the computer area in desperate need of organizing...and so on...and on, and on!

   Stress coming out of my eyeballs!  I'm starting to lose my mind again...lots to worry about and finalize, mostly unproductive things.  Well, I suppose I could be up to doing something...just what might that be...

take off the inner circle

cut a piece of fabric larger than the circle

make slits in the fabric close to the circle

using glue around the circle pull up the slits of fabric

I used fabri-tac

put more glue on the underside of the circle and glue it to the wooden base
